    We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

  • Asbestos Project Monitor
  • Environmental Project Manager


    Asbestos Project Monitor (Lawrence/Lowell, MA)

    Serves as an entry-level project team member to oversee asbestos abatment measures. Additional project involvement may include environmental sampling, analysis and evaluation tasks as part of projects that involve hazardous waste characterization and remediation, environmental construction management and infrastructure reconstruction. Collect and prepare samples for analysis in accordance with prescribed standards to determine characteristics or composition of solid or liquid materials and substances. May also be responsible to conduct field tests, coordinate laboratory analyses, and tabulate data for evaluation. Observe and/or inspect project sites prior to, during, or after construction to monitor and/or assess construction progress and ensure conformance with engineering plans, specifications, regulations, and accepted construction and safety standards and prepare written construction inspection and observations summaries. Collect field data through observation or by using basic field instruments such as field survey equipment, tape measures, flow meters, turbidity samplers, sieve analyses and cameras. Review and interpret engineering reports, maps, drawings, specifications, regulations, ordinances, field test results, design manuals, aerial photographs, and other data necessary for engineering projects. Communicate technical information with equipment and materials vendors, accurately document such communications, and apply the information obtained to the relevant project work. Prepare basic engineering calculations, and maintain project logbook records and computer program files; and maintain daily client interaction at field sites. This position requires a minimum two years of college credit and ability to obtain asbestos project monitor license required. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus. Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle required; local travel 80-90% of the time is required. Asbestos project designer license is a plus, as is OSHA Hazwoper 40 hour certification with required 8 hour refresher. Construction management experience is also a plus.

    Project Manager, Environmental (Concord, NH)
    Participate in initial client meetings, provides support and assists in presentations. Participate in the negotiation process and formulating work plans or proposals. Becomes familiar with the client’s organization, key people, and sensitivities and works to develop strong client relationships. Inform the client of the firm’s services available beyond the scope requirements for future service contracts. Maintain understanding of project financial issues including: project budget, terms of agreement, changes in agreement scope and billing process. Schedules and records all meetings and ensures follow up on decisions. Monitor performance of client responsibilities and communicates deviations to the client. Implements applicable firm policies bearing on client relations. Issues start and stop orders to team members as related to project progress and client directives; establish goals for project consistent with contract agreements. Know fee arrangements, management system, and project schedule requirements. Determines team staffing requirements and works with appropriate Resource Center Manager. Delegate authority and responsibility to degree required for project needs. Ensures project files and reporting are maintained. Monitors progress and takes action when team performance deviates from established plan. Monitors team performance to ensure compliance with contractual arrangements. Monitor product quality, design and technology to ensure consistency with contractual arrangements. Implement the firm’s policies that have an impact on team activities. Make final decisions in matters of team technical performance relative to procedures and end product as consistent with contract requirements and company procedures and policies. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from four-year College or university; and six to twelve years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Licensed as NH PE or PG is required; prior project manager experience is required. Experience in CERCLA or RCRA hazardous waste site investigation and remediation, QAPP/SAP/HASPs, Phase I and II ESAs, RAPs, remedial implementation, and environmental compliance audits; knowledge of hydrogeology or thermal treatment systems a plus
